Euro Currency

The Euro is the European Union (EU) currency that replaced the national currencies of most of the European countries that belong to the EU. (Great Britain, Denmark and Sweden are the 3 hold-outs). 
On January 1, 2002, euro notes and coins were introduced in all 12 European Monetary Union (EMU) countries and replaced each country's currency. Here are several sites of interest to travelers that have information about the Euro. Click here to go to our Currency Converter page.
