BootsnAll - Travelogues from Around the world. They say they are the ultimate resource for the independent travelers. A nice, clean, well-organized site with in-depth information for the independent travelers.
Mick Travels - World Travel Guide.  Travel around the world with Mick.
Rail Travelogues  Travelogues of rail passenger travel, especially on Amtrak and VIA Rail Canada.
Travigator - Travelogues.  This site has an extensive data base of travel topics. Clicking this entry will take you to their Travelogue section. They have an extensive list of sources and links to travelogues on the web.

A wonderful offbeat website that has won awards for its travel writing and essays.  They publish stories that show the world in all its beauty, complexity, and sometimes horror. Many great links to other offbeat sites, as well as, to well known resources.  They are in tune with the planet and its people and are an oasis from the travel commercialism that abounds.
